Set within its Tudor deer park, this beautiful house has a rich and interesting history. It is the family home of the Sackvilles, who continue to live in the house to this day, and have been since 1603. It is the birthplace of novelist and poet Vita Sackville-West, who later bought Sissinghurst Castle, which is also a National trust property. Knole is reputed to be a ‘calendar house’- containing 365 rooms, 52 staircases, 14 entrances, and 7 courtyards.
